As the NFL continues on its campaign to rid themselves of any and all negative press, it appears as though former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle may never see the field again after he was arrested Sunday (February 21) for the fifth time in 17 months, the third since being cut by the team in November.
Randle was arrested in his hometown of Wichita, Kansas on one count of drug possession, one count of criminal property damage and three charges of aggravated battery. The former running back was cut by the Cowboys last November for his involvement in sports gambling, something he has denied.
Early this month, Randle was pulled over on a speeding charge after he showed up at the home of an ex-girlfriend and later taken into custody after it was discovered that he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The slew of charges and incidents surrounding him make it difficult to imagine any franchise taking a chance on the rusher who has 822 yards and 9 touchdowns since joining the Cowboys in 2013.
