This February, Majid Jordan released their proper debut album, Majid Jordan, after a couple years of being the anchor to Drake‘s R&B motifs and providing a unique soundscape of their own, highlighted by 2014’s A Place Like This EP. The album, chock full of woozy R&B cuts and eerie pop ballads like “Learn From Each Other” and “Something About You,” also included last year’s “My Love,” Majid Jordan’s second collaboration with Drizzy (they previously put together a top 5 hit with 2013’s “Hold On We’re Going Home”).
Yesterday, Majid released a dance remix to “My Love,” featuring unchanged lyrics but a new, decidedly more uptempo and quicker-paced instrumental. You can stream it below, and get ready for more releases from OVO Sound this year, including the debut album from the newly signed R&B group dvsn, set to drop April 1, and of course, Drake’s Views From The 6 album, also slated to be released next month.
