Disturbing footage has surfaced showing the terrifying moment a police officer was accidentally shot nine times by his lieutenant.
Greg Brachle and Jacob Grant were on an undercover drug operation in Albuquerque, NM when Greg made the horrifying and almost fatal mistake. He approached the wrong side of a car that two suspects and two undercover cops were sitting in and opened fire on a fellow police officer, not realizing it was in fact his friend and fellow officer he had shot.
Lieutenant Brachle can be heard screaming out in sheer horror at the disturbing realization. Brachle claims he thought Jacob was a “bad guy.”
Jacob underwent multiple surgeries and is fortunately still alive, despite all of his vital organs being hit, and Greg retired before he was able to be fired. A lawsuit was settled and Mr. Grant, along with the rest of the world, hopes this accident can be used to inspire more humane police practices.
