Coachella is kicking off to a great start with Day 1 performer A$AP Rocky blowing the lid off by pulling a surprise performance with none other than Kanye West.
The show, which kicked off yesterday [Friday, April 15] at the Outdoor Theatre, featured Kanye and A$AP swapping verses on “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” from The Life of Pablo; but unfortunately, was short lived due to technical issues.

According to reports, after 10 minutes Yeezy was unable to be heard due his mic cutting in and out before malfunctioning completely, but that didn’t stop Ye from completing his verse seemingly unaware that the mic was out. The duo tried to go off even more but the whole set was cut off due to being over time, but that didn’t stop fans from savoring the moment.

Kanye West decided to give fans another pop up appearance as he joined Diplo on stage, but the follow-up appearance was even quieter than his first and this time by choice. Eager and hype fans applauded before Kanye walked on stage, but those fans were a little surprised when they got to see Kanye being Kanye as he stood in front of the crowd for a few moments, soaked in the applause and then exited the stage.
Yeezy wasn’t the only surprise A$AP Rocky had for fans, fans were also treated to a joint performance between A$AP and ScHoolboy Q for a powerful run-through of their “Electric Body” collaboration.
