Without warning over the weekend, as is customary, Beyonce dropped a bomb on her fans, letting loose with a very brief preview of what’s apparently her forthcoming single and music video, “Lemonade.” The video, billed as a “special event,” will world premiere on HBO this coming Saturday, April 23, at 9 p.m.
Yesterday, Mrs. Carter unveiled a longer preview of the video, featuring her mysterious cornrow-clad stance, her walking away from the scene of an explosion swinging a baseball bat, and several other stirring images, including famous model Winnie Harlow, known for her affiliation with Drake, her campaign with Diesel, and her work with world-renowned photographer Nick Knight.
Watch the full trailer above, and get ready for “Lemonade” to impact Saturday night. It’ll be a movie, and we’re not really sure if that should be taken literally or not, judging by the preview.
