Snoop states, “Over the years, I have roasted several entertainers and friends and now it’s my turn to be in the hot seat. I’ve got mad love for what Russell has done with All Def Digital and I’m looking forward to seeing what (ADD) and MERRY JANE have up their sleeves for my roast.”

Russell Simmons prides himself on discovering new faces in comedy and presenting such artists the opportunity to showcase their talent to a wide range of audiences on a mainstream platform. In 2013, All Def Digital started off as just a YouTube channel showcasing the top tier of up and coming talent in urban music, comedy, and spoken word. Since then, ADD has signed a deal with HBO in which several projects are in development including the All Def Comedy Live which has been quite the success in Hollywood.

All Def Roasts is set to start producing short form content through their original digital channels, adding Facebook Live to their list of platforms. But, we have high hopes that All Def Roasts will eventually make its premiere on the HBO network if another distribution deal does not present itself beforehand.

The All Def Comedy Roast series will feature iconic celebrities, who dominate the fields of comedy, music, sports, and politics to be the center of the joke fest. Although an official date has not been set for the series premiere, it should be interesting to see Snoop Dogg go from completely baked to flat out roasted.
