O.T. Genasis emerged two years ago with “CoCo,” a booming anthem about the love of baking soda–of all things–which, ostensibly, was a dedication ballad to the art of manufacturing narcotics. For a while after, Genasis, a protege of Busta Rhymes, appeared to go quiet, but he’s returned in a major way with “Cut It,” an incredibly catchy club banger that originally featured Young Dolph, that’s now been officially remixed with Young Thug and Kevin Gates.
This won’t be the first time that a star-studded remix will give one of Genasis’ hits another life. Meek Mill and Jeezy joined him on the remix to “CoCo,” which topped off at #20 on the Billboard Hot 100.
