In the past few weeks it has been confirmed that Drake and French Montana have a major collaboration on the way, which will presumably appear on the latter’s forthcoming album MC4. The two artists have collaborated in the past, most notably on French’s massive 2012 #1 single “Pop That.” With that said, it looks as though Champagne Papi owes Frenchy some big time money to the tune of $60,000 after this past Sunday’s NBA Finals.
Taking to his Snapchat account, Montana posted a video and shared: “Shout-out to my brother Drizzy Drake for that 60 bands, ‘cause you ain’t believe in LeBron.” Being the team ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, who fell to LeBron’s Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, it would be hard to imagine that Drizzy would place a wager on James. Aside from the fact that Drake is friends with Steph Curry and has routinely shouted him and other members of the Golden State Warriors out on songs, it was actually a smart bet going into the series. The Warriors, reigning champions at the time, were favored to win it all amongst all oddsmakers.
