The massive investigation continues into the terrible tragedy that occurred in Dallas yesterday [Thursday, July 7] and now more information is emerging about the shooter, Micah Johnson.
Multiple news sources are now reporting Johnson was a military veteran. Officials have reached out to the pentagon to obtain his military record.
The news sources are also reporting that at this point, no connection has been found between Johnson and any movement or group, so it appears that he acted alone.

Also, many members of the community gathered for an inter-faith vigil for the victims of this attack. Several religious leaders gave prayers in support of those who lost their lives, and to all those in Dallas who have been effected by this tragedy. Dallas’ Mayor, Mike Rawlings, also gave a passionate speech about addressing the racial issues that have underlined this event, the events of this past week, and the racial turmoil this country has been facing ever since the days of slavery.
