Drake‘s addiction to eBay back in the day came not only came from his own funds, but also came from the funds of his mother, Sandi Graham. Graham helped fund Drake’s eBay and WireImage subscription. In a letter written to his mom in 2006, Drake says he will pay her back.
“I have cancelled the WireImage Subscription due to my eBay charges coming to more than I had planned for. Please know that you will be reimbursed fully through several methods and/or means of payment.”
It has been a decade since the letter was written and it’s pretty safe to assume Drake has paid his mom back for any financial help. “eBay was the addiction back in 2006. Def come a long way and it’s safe to say I most likely settled this debt,” Drake wrote on his Instagram caption.
In the past, Drake went as far as buying a Pusha T microphone from eBay for $200. He was so heavily into the Virginia rapper he felt he needed to have an autographed mic.
Drake ends the letter sincerely with, “your Biz Partner.” When you take a look at Drake’s past struggles with outstanding fees, it’s cool to see how far he has come with his career.
