Patriots’ Devin McCourty Says He’s Skipping Trump’s Visit

The first Patriots player to fall out of the White House visit was Martellus Bennett, now Devin McCourty. After the team took victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI Sunday night in Houston, Bennett immediately decline from seeing Trump.

Just hours later McCourty shot down the trip.

“I’m not going to the White House,” the star safety said in text message to Time. “Basic reason for me is I don’t feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices, I believe certain people might feel accepted there while other won’t.”
