This past week, the media released an abundance of reports that RZA finally admitted to Russell Crowe spitting on Azealia Banks at a party in Hollywood, despite the fact that the Wu-Tang forerunner admitted the act to TMZ last year.

Last October, Azealia Banks accompanied RZA to a hotel party where she was introduced to Russell Crowe. Amidst the meeting, Banks and Crowe mustered into an altercation which leads to Crowe throwing racial slurs at Banks along with an alleged choke and a pitch of his own spit. A battery report was filed against Crowe that ended up being dropped. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office concluded Crowe’s actions as being justified due to Banks’ threats of violence.

It was apparent RZA sided with Russell Crowe when the incident occurred being that he did not defend her, according to Banks. RZA went on TMZ Live last October and confirmed Crowe’s spitting behavior, but it was his statement from his appearance last Monday (October 16th) on popular morning show The Breakfast Club that triggered Banks “drop dead” comments towards him. He spit at her. I saw that. It almost went on me! He apologized to me. That night was crazy.” RZA tells DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne of The Breakfast Club

Banks took to snapchat to send indirect messages to RZA in response to his statements on Breakfast Club, saying, “RZA has to stop talking about me in the media. Until he is ready to apologize publicly he can go back to suck Russell Crowes dick for invites to Hollywood parties.” Banks continued on: “Nobody understands how badly I wanted to die the moment RZA LIED and told the world I deserved to be spat. People laugh at me and said I lied. No one understands the amount of pain that came with and after that incident. Just fucking respect me and stop saying my name. @RZA I HOPE YOU DROP DEAD.”

Yesterday, RZA released a statement in response to Banks gruesome posts expressing how it was uncalled for. RZA’s publicist makes it known: …Banks goes on to socialize her attacks stating RZA should “drop dead” while making unfavorable remarks against him. Regardless of any rumored conditions she may have, I feel there is no excuse for this type of behavior, therefore I feel obligated to let the record show that RZA has tried his best to support Ms. Banks. Taking the high road is not an easy task when someone constantly slanders you, but he has.”

Banks shared on Instagram a Facebook posts where she claims the recent events have made her “feel somewhat vindicated.” It appears Banks is possibly ready to take back her “drop dead” comments and “forgive” RZA.
