Nike aims to close out 2017 as the champion of sports footwear for the year.
This year, we’ve seen the return of iconic silhouettes such as the Nike SB Dunks and Air Force Ones. In fact, Nike has celebrated some tennis shoe milestones: 35 years of the Air Force One and 20 years of Air Max 97 .
All October long, we told you to keep your eyes peeled for more releases of the 97 silhouette. You thought we were joking? Well, here is something that will make those peeled eyes weep with joy. Dropping shortly, in efforts to close this anniversary year with a bang are multiple colorways of this style. Streetwear boutique, Undefeated, has already contributed two previous colorways for the anniversary of the 97.
The latest collaborative effort borrows from Undefeated’s signature MA-1 Flight Jacket.
The shoe’s upper is draped in an aggressive militia green. Other primary features include the Undefeated branding which is repeated along the gradient overlays. Secondary details include tongue logos and pull tabs which are accented with a Blaze Orange. Other secondary features include a white mid-sole and the black out-sole.
The Undefeated x Nike Air Max 97 will be released this weekend, as will Virgil Abloh’s Off-White Nike Air Force one. The Undefeated Air Max will carry a price tag of $170. Since these will not be available in stores, you can expect aftermarket prices to be higher than the original retail price. However we strongly encourage you to check eBay and Kixify.
The olive green is fitting for the fall season. We are not certain there are women’s sizes but just in case there are, we would like to remind you that the lady or ladies in your life should match your fly!
These shoes are sure to turn heads. Get your hands on this rare pair of Air Max 97’s.
