The latest episode of Open Late with Peter Rosenberg was dedicated to the late Mac Miller. The show brought artists to the fold who offered their condolences to the family of Mac and shared key moments they had with the Pittsburgh emcee. Of those was collaborator Kendrick Lamar who spoke highly of Mac.
“That’s the type of person he was—just a good dude. Always made you feel good, just a great energy to have around. He’ll pull up to the studio, give honest opinions,” Kendrick shared “I’d play music, he’d say, ‘I like that. You should do something right here.’ Just whatever, man, and he was just true and selfless about it. Great musician. Great writer.”
Kendrick also shared that Mac Miller had an infectious smile that you couldn’t help but smile back at him.
Ty Dolla $ign, Macklemore and others also chimed into the full episode, which can be seen here. Check out Kendrick speak on Mac below.
