There is also a radio friendly DJ ready track called “Trust In Me” which has more of a pop vibe. Featuring edgy guitar, a catchy beat and smooth vocals, “Trust In Me” serves as an introduction to the band’s work and gives the world a taste of what Dark Note is capable of.

Other songs on the EP include “Demise,” a super energetic song guaranteed to get a crowd bouncing, and “Star Crossed Lovers” which shares the tale of two lovers who can’t be together because of their different religions. Recorded in their own studio, “Impact” was released in mid August.

Saiid Zeidan who had been a DJ since he was 16 years old, and Anthony Nemnoum who had always dreamed of becoming a music producer, attended higher education to pursue their dreams. The two independent artists met at Lebanon’s International Academy of Arts and Technology (IAAT) which later provided financial assistance for musical instruments and equipment.

The two men shared their visions and their ideas evolved for working as a duo. They formed their concept for the Dark Note band after a few weeks and worked nearly non-stop for six months straight, first establishing their record label, EDM Rekords, in the UK and Beirut earlier this year. While Saiid’s style is more EDM, Anthony’s approach is strongly Trap, and their individual strengths and different styles make for an exciting partnership. After making the beats and melodies, followed by working on the effects together, they like to bounce ideas off their family and friends to get their feedback.

Dark Note is made up of two individuals who are deeply dedicated to their craft. If they were not making music, they said they would still be making music! They don’t limit themselves to only songwriting. However, their website lists numerous music services including mixing, mastering, producing and even booking. The Dark Note band is firmly positioned to bring their music from Lebanon to the world.

Against all odds, Dark Note has made it happen for themselves. Although running a business in Lebanon comes with a long list of challenges, they are not deterred from their goal of going global. “If you have a dream, follow your dream. No matter what,” Saiid affirmed. “If someone hasn’t walked through your way, you’ll always get false advice. So, do what your heart tells you to do. Never give up!”

Dark Note’s “Impact” EP is available on all digital platforms, and they are already composing, mixing and mastering two more albums – a Techno album and a Pop / Hip Hop / Trap combo. Stay tuned for more excitement from this Lebanese duo.
