Pink Nois Releases New Visuals To “Nazareth” featuring Jaren

Independent artist Pink Nois, is a multi talented creative from New Rochelle, New York. He now drops the new music video for his latest single, “Nazareth”. After freshmen year of college, he began to write this heading into his sophomore year. As the beat drops you can hear how authentic and substantial this track is. In the opening scene, they are on the steps in front a house and then at a park. The energy is very relaxed and as they chill in the park he spit his bars about transparency. Pink Nois created a group on social media called, “New Ro Rejects,” which is a bunch of kids that were basically bullied or shunned by “popular” people in that town. They added him and said  “you’re one of us.” He started to write Nazareth the same day the group was created, this track was written express his feelings about being the “odd one” in the place where he grew up. After asking his high school friend, Jaren to write a hook for this song they realized the vibe between them is timeless.

“The title was actually inspired by the story of Jesus and the scripture in the Bible, Luke 4:24, which states “no prophet is ever accepted in their hometown.” I was raised Christian and I’m definitely not a very religious person, but I am very spiritual and believe in Jesus and recognize the power that He has. I felt that scripture from Luke really went with the situation I was going through and reminded me that when you have a large, important message, you can’t just focus on how the place you’re from is receiving it. The whole world needs it. Jesus wasn’t taken seriously in Nazareth; New Ro was my Nazareth. I knew that I wanted the video to have an air of nostalgia, especially since the song was about a town I grew up in. My friend Alex who shot the video helped me pick out different areas around New Rochelle that held lots of value to us. The playground shots were at my elementary school where I met all of my best friends who I’m still friends with to this day. The field where Jaren and I are at is a field that my mother, sister and I used to hang out at. Alex and I definitely wanted to make the shots really lush and colorful to pay homage to 90’s hip-hop music videos and fashion. Knowing the way people consume content now, we wanted to have enough shots where the video wasn’t overstimulating, but still moved enough to keep people interested. I’m really proud of Alex; this was his first music video job and he captured everything we had planned beautifully. The general idea of the treatment was a sort of walk down memory lane, just talking about how I felt in a place that I’d known all my life. I dropped Nazareth in the summer because I knew that’d be the time where a group of people could listen to this at a cookout or sitting on their porch steps, harmonizing the hook with their friends. I remember singing and dancing to music with the same type of feel when hanging out or going to cookouts in the summer when I was younger, so the feeling of nostalgia was definitely there.  Aside from that, I also feel like 90’s rap is perfect at telling stories about some sort of struggle, rising above it, and looking good while doing it. I definitely wanted to emulate that to really get the message of “y’all tried me but now, I’m back and I’m not playing” across, while still keeping it playful and fun. I had already made songs with that type of vibe before, “For The Love (ft. Money Making Biggz)” being a perfect example, and I knew that I wanted to tap into that same mode again for this.”

Nazareth is only a small part of a larger narrative that was created. It was released as the first peek into this universe because it showcases a portion of the world that people will already be familiar with. After hearing the song and watching the visuals, this New Rochelle native explains how he wants his supporters to feel:

“I want listeners to definitely feel like they’ve witnessed an important exposition into a cinematic experience, kinda like the protagonist’s entrance song at the beginning of a musical or the opening scene of a movie that introduces the main character. I definitely want people to have a good time, but to feel left wanting more, and to heir place. Period. The other part of me just thinks it’s because I finished the song during Leo season, I know that if they wait, they’ll get exactly what they came for. “
