It’s good to see two legends reunite after three years apart.

This past Friday, Dec 14, Diddy celebrated his 50th birthday with a party in Beverly Hills. Guests included Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, The Weeknd, and Jay-Z, but it was Kanye and Hov’s reunion that had people talking. Pictures were taken of the two shaking hands and briefly chopping it up.

It has been three years since the two were spotted together. The last time they were seen together was in August 2016 at an MTV Music Video Awards Afterparty. A few months later, Kanye called out Jay-Z and Beyonce during his Saint Pablo Tour stop in Sacramento, California.

“Jay-Z, call me bruh. You still ain’t call me,” ‘Ye said onstage. “Jay-Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send ’em at my head. Just call me. Talk to me like a man.”

Jay-Z then spoke about his problems with Kanye on his 2017 album, 4:44, on the song “Kill Jay-Z”. Jay Z raps “You gave him $20 million without blinkin’/He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’?/Fuck wrong with everybody is what you sayin’/But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane.”

Jay-Z then admitted that he still had love for Kanye despite their complicated relationship. Hov addressed Kanye again on his track with Meek Mill “What’s Free?”, which made Ye tease a Watch the Throne 2 project with no confirmation from Hov. In 2018, in an interview with Charlemagne Tha God, Kanye admitted that Jay-Z and Beyonce not showing up to his wedding to Kim Kardashian sparked the decline in their friendship.
