Insecure is back on April 12th and the elation is unanimous.
It has been over 13 months since we last consumed a new episode of Issa Rae’s hit millennial series. In September 2018, the HBO show was renewed for its 4th season, but we soon learned that it would not return until 2020. The wait is finally over.
Earlier today, Issa Rae and HBO dropped a hilarious and enticing teaser for Season 4. Issa Rae opens up with her signature mirror freestyles. As she gets in her zone, she has a slight wardrobe malfunction but accepts it with style and grace. Even the Emmy Award-winning Kerry Washington called the trailer, “Mirror b**ch goals.”
At the end of Season 3, Issa was recovering from being a victim of ghosting and had made a new friend and befriended a potential business partner. It turns out that the same woman will potentially date Lawrence (Issa’s ex) in Season 4. There are a number of different scenarios that can play out. One thing for certain is, Insecure Season 4 will be one for the books. The series returns on Sunday, April 12th on HBO. Peep the full trailer below.
