In a Hail Mary-like attempt to forewarn the public about the impending crisis facing the United States in the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak, President Trump argued that if businesses that have been deemed “non-essential” do not re-open soon, the country could see “suicide by the thousands”.
Even as health experts have opposed Trump’s suggestion that the country reopen by Easter, the POTUS continues to push forward in defense of the small business owner as the pandemic worsens.
With over 53,000 cases of the novel coronavirus in the United States with over 700 deaths, the outbreak seems to be on an acute incline. New York City is the epicenter of the U.S. outbreak, with over 15,000 cases of the virus with deaths close to 200.
