Rihanna promised her the follow-up to her 2016 Anti album last February, but clearly that never happened. The singer turned beauty mogul told British Vogue that she doesn’t have a definite date for the album’s release but she’s “aggressively working on music.”
There were rumors that the collection, nicknamed R9 because it’s her ninth studio album, was a reggae album but she shut doesn’t want her albums to feel like themes. “I feel like I have no boundaries. I’ve done everything – I’ve done all the hits, I’ve tried every genre – now I’m just, I’m wide open. I can make anything that I want.”
Riri also discussed the full launch of her skincare line, which has already been previewed with Fenty’s Pro Kiss’r Scrub, Balm, and shimmering Body Lava oil. “Skincare, it’s the truth. It either works or it doesn’t. There’s nowhere to hide.”
The interviewer asked her where she sees herself in ten years, which she jokingly said she’ll be “ancient” at age 42. “I’ll have kids – three or four of ’em.”
