In addition, Dreamland focuses on coming to terms with the vices that led to the depressive state. On the other hand, he is quite accepting of his reality, while battling depression. His comprehension is the force behind remaining solid, although his reality isn’t ideal.
Throughout the project, 8BitJ expresses his pain through Lofi rap and soul, leaving no stone unturned and nothing hidden. In this climate, the occurring conversations on Black mental health is at the highest it has ever been. The heigh of the digital age is to thank for the extension of this topic. With the release of Dreamland, 8BitJ looks to use his own experience to further promote the conversation.
