Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, Issam.415 began to pursue hip hop at a young age. Influenced by artists like Dr. Dre and TuPac, Issam.415 began to understand the power that Hip Hop had to send a message to the people. He also understood it as a good time. Growing up in the Bay Area definitely influenced his music; while the scene isn’t huge, the talent pool is still thriving. While his love for Hip Hop was organic, Issam faced a lot of struggles with drugs, depression and anxiety at a young age. Using music as an outlet, Issam began to use music as an emotional outlet to tell his story and paint the pictures of his journey through art. Eventually he moved to the City of Angels to further pursue his dream of making music. Still to this day he says that some of the best lessons he learned were in LA. He felt far away from home, chasing his dream while juggling a toxic relationship. The experience put him in a ‘don’t do this again’ mindset and eventually he ended up leaving. But admittedly, he says that he learned a lot about the industry during this first time there that he may never have learned had he never left home.
Issam.415’s new company NappyHead Records is thriving. Built from the determination of him and his best friend Bados, NappyHead Productions has now developed into their own label where they plan to help other artists to thrive and succeed. His vision includes awards and plaques as proof of his progress. On his way toward building a musical empire, Issam.415 hopes to create platinum hits and long lasting success for years to come. With tons of music in the works, 2020 will not keep him and his team down as they continue to look ahead, stay focused and strive toward the success that they know they can achieve.
