If you haven’t seen Boosie Badazz on your Instagram feed, it’s because he was banned from the platform and the rapper isn’t happy about that.
Boosie called on Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg to intervene. “They just took my Instagram! Mark Zuckenberger, I need to talk to you! Bosses need to talk to bosses. I don’t know what I did, but I need my Instagram back. I don’t even know what I did, but this is how I feed my family! Mark, do not do this to 2020! Do not take Boosie off Instagram! We need to talk, Mark!”
He added, “You need to take me to orientation or somethin’, but you can’t put me out of school!…we ain’t makin’ no show money, Mark Zuckerberger- none of the rappers! I need my Instagram back! I told everybody @ him right now. Tell him call my assistant!”
Adam Mosseri appeared on The Breakfast Club and explained why the Baton Rouge rapper is prohibited from using his social media platform.
“You’ve gotta draw the line somewhere. It’s a nudity policy. We try to be clear. You can appeal but if you get too many strikes, something will happen.”
DJ Envy said that he’s reported Kim Kardashian multiple times for inappropriate content, and Mosseri claimed the rules applied to her too.
Charlamagne Tha God asked if Instagram understood Black culture and highlighted that some content is flagged when the N-word is used as a term of endearment.
“It’s tough. No, we don’t understand culture perfectly…There are things where we just have to draw the line or define a rule that is practical…” Mosseri responded.
