Riding the wave of the success of his recent releases Envy, Elevator and My Life the Brooklyn raised, South Carolina based artist/indie label owner Lex the Don has joined forces with director Padarrah Moss, screenwriter Mark Anthony Smith and novelist Timothy Davis to produce the new urban drama series “Game of Deceit”. The series is based on the novel of the same name written by longtime associate Timothy “Lyfe” Davis. The series will be directed by Lex and Vizual Mekaniks CEO Padarrah Moss who directed and filmed the video for Lex’s 2016 breakout indie hit “Baddest Girl”. The script penned by up-and-coming screenwriter Mark Anthony Jones is currently being finalized over the next few weeks and is scheduled to begin casting this month. Soundtrack submissions have already begun. According to Lex who will also be producing the series soundtrack under his label TBT Entertainment Music Group, some of the submissions have already been right on target for the intended vibe of the series which will be set in South Carolina. The series is said to be among the ranks of recent hits such as Power and Snowfall. The production team has also opted to introduce up and coming actors, artists and music producers in a push to shine a light on new faces and artists for the project which has a rough completion target of Jan 2022. The book’s author Timothy Davis will also be relishing the three-part novel in order to promote the project. With the final leg of character development underway and near completion, things seem to be cruising full steam ahead right on schedule as the official announcement of casting calls are just over the horizon. The series sounds like a definite winner in the making as Lex and company seem to have all bases covered and have the momentum of a well-oiled machine as they wrap up pre-production.
