Theprinceofnc Shares The Story of The Meaning Behind “Intro”

Theprinceofnc is back with more heat and discussed the meaning behind his song/visual “Intro.”

When Theprinceofnc (The “NC” in his name stands for North Carolina) recorded his “Life” album, containing “Intro” back in early June, nobody saw it as a potential “hit track.” A combination of determination, illegal downloads, and lucky accidents helped push the track to become as big as it is today.

“‘Intro’ in other words means the beginning of something,” according to Theprinceofnc in a recent interview. “The track was put together one late night when the artist was piecing together bits and pieces of events that had recently happened. The intro of the music video is Theprinceofnc sleeping with his girlfriend’s sister to upset her boyfriend who feels they are sleeping together, although they in fact never slept together.

“There are a lot of subliminal messages thrown throughout the track about old friends and friends of friends,” he said.

The music was shot and edited by Redwrlddd in Charlotte, North Carolina in a downtown penthouse. Theprinceofnc “Intro” track also has subliminal messages not only in the track, but in the music video as well.
Theprinceofnc quickly followed up the song with an album, “Life 2” which dropped in early January 2021. Theprinceofnc’s music video has been featured in many popular youtube accounts such as LuaLua  Patrickcc and IntensifyCharts.

Theprinceofnc also spoke about almost being jumped, missing experiences with a previous ex, mocking other people, being harassed due to his success, and more. Many supporters have already made up their decision and categorized Theprinceofnc as a “drill musician” but he is quick to tell you he likes being identified as a “musician or artist,” and not limited to a specific genre. At one point, he was denied from local radio stations and podcasts due to the belief of promoting violence in his music.

“Intro” is Theprinceofnc’s most popular track and has racked up over a total 500K streams total and has no plan to slow down anytime soon.
Theprinceofnc asserted that what people believe “Intro” to be about is “wrong.”

“If you listen to the track, you will hear me express past events and my feelings,” he said.

Theprinceofnc continued, “If my record is considered a diss track then almost every Lil Durk record has to be a diss track because he is always throwing little slick subliminals in his music.”
