Congrats are in order for Rory and Mal. The two podcasters recently inked a lucrative deal with SiriusXM’s Stitcher.
Following a public fallout and split from The Joe Budden Podcast earlier this year, the duo decided to take matters into their own hands. They later launched their YouTube channel and have reaped the benefits thus far.
According to Budden, he encouraged them to do so prior to the fallout. Rory or Mal have to confirm the accuracy of the statement. Budden also took to his IG story, throwing shade at this former comrades.
“They’ll question your character once you stop taking care of them,” Budden wrote on his Instagram story.
Nevertheless, Rory and Mal have now created their own platform in the name of ownership of creative freedom.
“Honestly, all that started when every time we wanted to try something, the energy around it would just be like, ‘Ehh, I don’t know,'” Mal said to Vulture. “Despite the fact that this is our show, you know what I mean?”
According to Mal, he has yet to see or speak to Budden. If he had seen him, Mal claims that “it would have been bad news.”
