itsMelinaWorld releases latest album “Passage through Takayama”

At 18, itsMelinaWorld was a runway model pursuing her dreams of fashion and glamour in New York City. Fast forward to now, she is 25 and a successful Hip-Hop Lofi artist, with a growing fanbase.

Her latest album, “Passage through Takayama” drives inspiration from the town of Takayama. It’s a place in Japan with beautiful scenery and a small population, isolated from the rest of Japan. Melina says “the isolation in beauty is what I was trying to capture with this EP. Takayama represents the isolated beauty to me, so that’s how the name came to be. But, the town also holds a special place in my heart”.

But, what led to her immense change in career was her understanding of a different art form. “To me, modelling was an art form that I enjoyed but grew out of. My soul craved more, and that’s where the music came into my life”, she said.

Melina has big potential to breakthrough through the lo-fi scene and into mainstream music. Although that isn’t her desire, her obsessed fans would make one look at the subgenre scene with a breath of fresh air.

She also expects to go on tour next year, opening for a big act. Although she is keeping that under wraps for now. “It’s a surprise. I can’t wait to share with you all!”, she said.

For anyone who enjoys lo-fi and appreciates true hip hop production that pushes the envelope of music, itsMelinaWorld may be a taste that fits your palette.
