Trizzy is not afraid of being told no. His motto is Winners Never Quit, and he puts his all into everything he does. He is a hustler, open-minded; he will not quit; Trizzy will try and try and try until he succeeds.

Always a fan of music, Trizzy has been rapping and writing songs since 5-years old. He started making beats when he was 12, giving them out for free to rappers around his city. He recorded his first song in 2012 with FriO Isa Blaque called “Jockin My Swag,” and they just released it for fun. Due to the song’s online popularity, Trizzy released “Jockin My Swag” but changed the name to “My Own Style” as a single in 2013. As he started transitioning into an artist, he didn’t know the next move.

How did Ruby Recording come to be?! “Can’t nobody control me or my music if I’m signed to myself,” Trizzy declares? Thus Ruby was created in Trizzy’s bedroom in early 2015 when he started taking music seriously. He was working on a project but didn’t know any record labels to release it on, so he decided to make his own.

In explaining why he chose the name Ruby for the label, he says, “I was born a Ruby. My mother’s name is Ruby, and I like how it sounds when I say it in my songs, but I also was inspired by the Ruby gemstone. Most sought after, rare, unique, original, and hard to find but easy to love.’

Currently, Ruby Recordings has six artists on the label, including himself. They are FriO Isa Blaque, AB Tazz, Moeschino, ReeseMoe, and Jt5k. Ruby also has a management division separate from the label roster, where they only manage an artist. The management division currently lists artists such as KC Solo, AJ Affleck, Sho-Time, and CEOGamble.
Helping others feed their families feels good to Trizzy, who loves assisting upcoming artists in any way he can. Trizzy built his and Ruby Recordings’ brands brick by brick. “So to be able to create a blueprint and watch other artists use it to elevate their careers lets me know I’m doing it right!’ declares Trizzy.

Before taking on a management client, Trizzy says he looks for work ethic, originality, and creativity. He doesn’t follow trends, so the talent he looks for won’t be doing what everyone else is doing. A Ruby is one of the rarest and most sought-after precious stones. At Ruby Recordings, they search for the rarest of gems, the true artist, one that can touch your heart and your soul. When they find that artist, they make sure that the world knows their music and their name.

The biggest surprise about the business side of the music business as an artist Trizzy says he encountered was that it’s not about how much music you make or how much talent you have. As part of the growing experience, you get doubted, discredited, overlooked, belittled, lack opportunities, no support from your hometown, and you end up going broke trying to chase a dream and please everybody at the same time.

According to Trizzy, “As a CEO, you become trusted, you get celebrated, you create opportunities for others, others create opportunities for you, you get that hometown love, people praise you for your work, and you can end up becoming rich tryna chase a dream and please everybody at the same time.”

Trizzy has always worked to be in the CEO position, and it appears it’s just something that was always in him. He began training to be a CEO in high school the same year he officially became a recording artist.

Trizzy learned how to be an artist at home while learning how to be a CEO at school. He focused on taking business classes because he’s always wanted to start his record label.

Trizzy attended Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!). This groundbreaking and exciting program transforms middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. Trizzy says of his mindset, “If I were only an artist at the time, I wouldn’t have made it this far. I graduated from High School only because of my CEO mindset. Being a CEO at a young age helped me stay out of trouble. My artist mindset is different from my CEO’s side.”

Ruby Recordings hopes to sign multiple successful charting artists in a few years. With artist openings still available and calling for artists to send their demos, there is so much in stock from the company. The founder has assured the world to be on the lookout for what they’re about to create. “The secret to raising awareness in today’s flooded independent market is thinking differently. At Ruby, we’re doing things unconventional by giving as many artists a chance at the same time. It won’t hurt anybody if they all become successful. That’s it. We’re not scared of taking that risk,” Trizzy added.
