Rising from the rich culture of the Bahamas and the Caribbean is DJ Ovadose. DJ Ovadose, whose real name is Jasper Thomas developed a love for music at 11 and over the past 5 years, has launched his own online radio station Ovadose Radio, while also being the proud recipient of several accolades such as the Bahamian Icon Award for Outstanding Rising Star (2018) and the Elevation Award for People’s Choice (2019).
DJ Ovadose has also been recognized for his good looks, considering his stint as a male model for a local tuxedo company, which also hired him to promote their prom line. Unlike several other examples in the music and entertainment industry, DJ Ovadose has always been someone willing to use his influence for good which is why he has also lent his voice to several anti-bullying, anti-drug abuse, and autism awareness motions. For all the effort he puts into his career, DJ Ovadose has made sure to not forget his main occupation as an individual his age. At 16 years of age, DJ Ovadose is now in 12th grade having skipped a year due to his brilliance in clearing his exams. His ability to multitask is indeed quite commendable considering that DJ Ovadose currently also holds the position of President of the Interact Club as well as being the Student Council President.
DJ Ovadose’s journey to the top has been quite a success story and he is living a life that many would be proud of. However, this does not mean that DJ Ovadose has not had to face any problems along the way. In particular, it is his young age that has become a matter of concern at several moments. Starting out his career at just 11 years of age, DJ Ovadose built a lot of experience at a much earlier age than his peers in the music industry. In this manner, not only was DJ Ovadose able to draw an audience who was interested to see this prodigy’s talent firsthand, but he also attracted a lot of competition from the industry as a whole. Fortunately, instead of letting that get to him, DJ Ovadose took it in stride and made sure to always keep his head over the tide. Today, DJ Ovadose has grown into an artist who is always two steps ahead of the rest- but he isn’t one to discriminate and instead makes sure to always introduce new artists and DJs on his online radio platform Ovadose Radio.
