Orion has released the music video for “Send It Up.” The single is produced by Rasneek and is set for that special moment in the strip club or a bar when a woman catches your eye.
“The current state of the world inspired me to make this record,” Orion said. “It’s Summertime and outside is slowly but surely getting back to where it was before COVID-19. I felt the need to make some crank to help everybody enjoy this new normal. That was my goal with this track.”
Orion, who was born in Northern Virginia and is named after the constellation, was exposed to music by his parents when he was a young child. They played songs by Mary J. Blige, The Delfonics, Aaliyah, and even Sting. As time went on, Orion’s love of music was fueled by musicians like Kanye West, Gorillaz, and Virginia’s own Pharrell. This eventually motivated him to begin writing and distributing his own music.
Late in 2015, Orion published “TTG,” which has now received more than 6M streams across all platforms. He finally released his eagerly expected full-length effort, Cyberpunk, five years later. The 12-track collection of songs draws inspiration from a variety of media and sees Orion navigating the surreal virtual world of an unreleased VR game.
