Trump Reveals Preliminary Plans to Secure Third Term as President: ‘I’m Not Joking’

Here’s What We Know About the Jurors Seated in Trump Historic Criminal Trial

President Donald Trump is already considering ways to get a third term in the White House. In a telephone interview with NBC News, Trump revealed, “I’m not joking,” and “there are methods by which you could do it.” However, this would require some extreme efforts, as the Constitution of the United States of America allows presidents only to have two terms.

“I have had more people ask me to have a third term, which in a way is a fourth term because the other election, the 2020 election, was totally rigged,” Trump said in the call. “I don’t want to talk about a third term now because no matter how you look at it, we’ve got a long time to go.”

The Constitution was adjusted in 1951, adding the 22nd Amendment and restrictions on terms after President Franklin D. Roosevelt had a four-term run. The amendment says, “no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”
