Mariah The Scientist continues her breakout year as her hit single “Burning Blue” officially earns RIAA Gold certification. The track, from her acclaimed album HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY, has marked multiple career milestones for the rising star.
Earlier this year, “Burning Blue” became Mariah’s first Apple Music chart-topper for a female soloist in 2025 and secured her first Top 25 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The follow-up single, “Is It a Crime” featuring Kali Uchis, also landed on the Hot 100, giving Mariah two simultaneous charting tracks for the first time.
The success of “Burning Blue” extended across radio, reaching No. 1 on both Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay and Mainstream R&B/Hip Hop Airplay charts. To honor her achievements, Mariah was presented with multiple plaques in Chicago, including recognition of the single’s RIAA Gold certification. The awards were presented by Ezekiel Lewis, President of Epic Records, during an intimate ceremony on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
