When “Power” dropped the internet nearly exploded. The first single off My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and a perfect example of Kanye West’s progression as an artist.
Sundays Grammy Awards left Kanye with a handful of wins as well as Symbolyc One’s first win as a producer. We caught up with the “Power” producer to talk about his experience. “Im so grateful and honored for receiving my first Grammy last night for Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, the best Rap Album.” S1 further explains “It confirms with consistent hard work and being persistent dreams can really come true.”
When asked about Kanye’s absence from Sunday’s awards, S1 explains “I applaud my brother Kanye. While majority of the industry is at this event, he’s constantly working to stay ahead of everyone else.” Which we can only hope he’s completing the G.O.O.D Music album or some solo material.
Everyone should have goals in this industry and Symbolyc One has achieved something he always aspired for. “Grammys were definitely number one on my bucket list of achievements. There’s MAJOR artist/groups/producers that has been nominated but..never won. So for me to get a Grammy from the album off my first major single it’s a blessing. This is equivalent to a football player winning the Superbowl.”
Who would he thank first if he was given a thank you speech opportunity, “I give ALL the praises to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!” Clap for him!
