The Man Who Pushed A Bronx Man Off A NYC Subway Platform To His Death Has Been Arrested

A 48-hour manhunt comes to a close

Kevin Darden, 34, has been arrested following a 2-day manhunt after he was revealed as the primary suspect in the killing of a 61-year old Bronx man, Wai Kuen Kwok. Kwok was awaiting a downtown train with his wife at the 167th B/D train station when he was pushed onto the tracks by a complete stranger. Kwok was struck by an oncoming train, and killed. Surveillance footage was released soon after of a man wandering around the entrance of said train station smoking a cigarette before catching an MTA bus, and police revealed that the man in the video is who authorities were looking for in connection with the murder.

According to a New York Daily News report, earlier today, Darden was taken into custody after being arrested near his mother’s home in the Bronx. According to police, they are also investigating Darden for a shoving incident at the West 4th Street train station that took place just 10 days prior to Darden’s horrific act of violence against Kwok.
