Last year, Teyana Taylor dropped her debut album, VII, on Kanye West‘s G.O.O.D. Music label, and it was widely regarded as a welcomed return to traditional R&B, something she wasn’t necessarily known for making, but succeeded at.
Way back before Teyana signed with Kanye, or opened up his multi-platinum My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, she was just a bubbly girl from Harlem that could dance her a** off and had a viral hit, “Google Me,” buzzing in the city streets. She hung out with Curren$y, Young Chris, Sha Stimuli, and of course us (!), for a really fun photo shoot.
