Clay James doesn’t exactly look like a rapper.
With his signature bow tie and Kangol, you might think he’s heading to a library instead of a studio.
However, don’t let his lack of gold fool you. Clay has bars.
The Southern Playa artist has been creating his own mark in the city, even getting the attention of fellow Savannah, Georgia native Big Boi from Outkast who has been taking an active interest in the up-and-coming rapper.
With the buzz he has built in 2015, Clay is moving full speed ahead, wasting no time dropping his first project of 2016, ATL Born, C-PORT Raised.
Exclusively produced by M16, a producer with an extensive list of accolades including a Grammy nomination under his belt, the seven song EP features Ree La’el & Clay Hodges.
Check out his EP, ATL Born, C-PORT Raised below, and watch for Clay’s next project a collaborative project with fellow rapper Messiah Da Rapper executively produced by FKI dropping the first week of March.
