As if being one of the best to ever get behind the mic wasn’t enough, Snoop Dogg is also giving back to inner-city students in L.A. Snoop Dogg and AOL have teamed up to create the new series Coach Snoop, which follows the rapper as he travels with his Youth Football League across the country hoping to become victorious in their efforts.
Since 2005, the Snoop Youth Football League has been an initiative to prevent kids from giving in to the temptations of street life. The non-profit organization welcomes students ages 5 to 13 for an intensive yet fun season of mentorship and tough love. Coach Snoop debuted May 19th 2016, via an online stream on AOL.com.
“Music was a great way for me to introduce myself to the people, but my true calling is to really be a mentor,” Snoop says.
