To celebrate the grand opening of the new Tate Modern building on June 17, Solange has teamed up with the London art gallery to produce what is being chronicled as “a unique video.”
There’s limited information as to what Solange’s video will entail, but a press release issued by her rep describes it as being part of a series of videos influenced by the art work within the revamped gallery. The new Tate building will increase the space by 60 percent, allowing enough room for exhibits which will include live art, film and installations.
Solange posted a video on Instagram on June 6, a teaser showing four women climbing out of a cage and captioned “Creating and Composing something special for the @Tate Museum….and these beautiful babes who made my whole entire life.”
Photographer Carlota Guerrero revealed on Instagram she and video director Alan Del Rio are working with Solange on the project.
