Jonathan Mannion and Roc Nation’s “Prophecy” 20 year celebration of Reasonable Doubt was an epic extravaganza earlier this week. It was held at the Marlborough Gallery in the Chelsea area of Manhattan and featured art pieces from JAY Z‘s classic debut album on display.
Jonathan Mannion, the photographer that captured the legendary album cover, is known for capturing timeless photos of Hip Hop legends. When he arrived at the celebration, there was nothing but love and support from anyone who spoke with him. Mannion’s vibe is very warm, welcoming and he’s always all smiles. He took pictures with anyone that asked and had a vibrant spirit throughout the evening.
Legendary Brooklyn DJ (and pivotal part of JAY Z’s early career) Clark Kent played hits from Hov from the mid to late 90s era while attendees conversed with one another.
Roc Nation and Roc-A-Fella stalwarts were in the building, along with rappers Ja Rule, Vado, Consequence and journalist Elliott Wilson.
