Tiffany Haddish Becomes Voice of Lead Character in New Animated Netflix Comedy

Since her breakout performance in Girls Trip, Tiffany Haddish has seen nothing but success in her career. She has found herself hanging out with big names, making a number of TV appearances and in recent endeavors, Haddish will be the voice of the lead character, Tuca in a new animated series on Netflix called “Tuca and Birtie.”

Haddish will also be executive producing the project, alongside Bojack Horseman’s producer,Lisa Hanawalt, Raphael Bob- Waksberg (Bojack Horseman) Noel Bright (Bojack Horseman, friends) and Steven A. Cohen (Bojack Horseman, Jack & Bobby).

According to Deadline, the series is “about the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca, a cocky, care- free toucan, and Bertie, an anxious, daydreaming songbird. This new project adds to Haddish’s high profile gigs. Following her recently released Showtime stand up special titles “Tiffany Haddish: She’s Ready,” and her book release, The Last Unicorn. Tiffany can also be seen in the Tracy Morgan TBS comedy series The Last O.G. and Kevin Harts comedy film Night School.
