Burton is proving that the legacy of Keith Haring extends way beyond the art world, even going as far as inspiring the brand’s latest capsule collection.
Offering a three-piece set that includes a snowboard, raglan shirt and anorak jacket, this collab really utilizes the classic work of Haring in a way that supersedes the traditional tribute print tee. Each piece looks like it’s been tagged with spraypaint, which is a tribute to the “white-chalk-over-black-paper” trademark design that Haring made popular in the 1980s. Burton’s classic trademarks are present as well; taped seams, cargo pockets and thumbhole cuffs are all included in the construction. Outside of providing a well-built coat, cool-looking tee and seriously dope snowboard, the design scheme overall is a pretty fresh tribute in itself.
