LaMelo Ball reportedly suffered an injury during a play in Australia over the weekend. According to ESPN’s Adam Wojnarowski, the youngest Ball brother is dealing with a foot injury that will keep him out of NBL play for at least 4 weeks.
NBA scouts have been scouting LaMelo Ball in Australia and Melo has been projected as a number 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft. Draft express reports that the former UCLA commit is averaging 21 points 9 rebounds and 8 assists overseas along with 2 steals per game.
With the NBL season ending in March, LaMelo will return to action about 2 months before the season concludes.
Fans have seen LaMelo Ball grow right before our eyes. When we were first exposed to Pelicans Guard Lonzo Ball’s youngest brother it was him dropping 90 points in a game as a sophomore at Chino Hills High School. After bouncing around in his father’s JBL league, and playing overseas in Lithuania, Melo landed at Spire Academy in Ohio and became a top 30 high school prospect.
