To celebrate the 30th birthday of Nike Air Max 90, Nike is rolling out innovative styles that are inspired by the original Air Max 90 silhouette.
The new styles include the Air Max 90 Recraft, Verona, the 2090 and the Auto Max. The new sneakers are set to expand the sneaker conversation via innovations in the upper and underfoot, bringing in never-before-seen colorways and style that springs the past into the future.
The Air collection accounts for over 50% of Nike footwear – it’s a staple in the sneaker community and this new line, in celebration of the show that can easily make someone a sneakerhead.
On March 26, 1987, the first sneaker with Air technology, the Air Max 1, was released. Thirty years later and the sneaker has created a line of iconic models. Air Max Day 2020, Nike is paying homage to the countless Air Max variations that paved the way for the future of Air. That includes the Air Max 90 Flyease and the Air Max Verona.
On AirMax Day 2020 Nike will unleash a new set of sneakers for celebration:
Designed to illustrate what the future holds, the Air Max Day colors of Air Max 2090 imagine a future state where roads are dominated by electric and solar-powered vehicles. The Air Max 2090’s initial colorway is available in unisex and youth sizing, and lava-glow is a women’s exclusive colorway. The Air Max 2090 drops March 26 on SNKRS and select retailers.
Nike brings back the cult-favorite duck camo print from the 2013 Air Max 90 Atmos as basis for a new Air Max Duck Camo Pack. The pack includes an inverted color scheme of the original Air Max 90 Duck Camo shoe, and an Air Max 2090 with the duck camo print peeking out of a translucent-layered upper. The shoes come in unisex, youth and toddler sizing. The Air Max Duck Camo pack is available March 26 on SNKRS and select retailers.
The shine of precious metals make their return on the Air Max 90 Metallic Pack, originally only available via Nike By You. The women’s pack is also offered in toddler sizing, and releases in gold, rose gold and silver colorways March 26 on SNKRS and select retailers.
