Popular YouTube star Cyrus Dobre is making his transition into the music industry – and he’s off to a great start.The 27-year-old talent just released his first single, called “Goin’ Up” featuring Tory Lanez, which is now available to stream everywhere.
Both Lanez and Dobre bring an infectious energy to the hip hop/pop anthem and display their ability to create a catchy song anyone can vibe to. Lanez’ recognizable voice combined with Dobre’s unique sound make for a perfect match that make the collaboration seem effortless.
Within the first few seconds of the song, listeners will hear the catchy melody which is prominent throughout the course of the track.
“Goin’ Up” is Dobre’s first single as a solo artist and also serves as the lead track to his upcoming EP titled ‘Next Level.’ Prior to pursuing a music career, Dobre found success within popular YouTube group “Dobre Brothers,” where he was able to amass a large following and fan base.
When asked about how he would describe his sound, Dobre said that he wants his music to have a pop/hip hop feel.
“I identify with many different genres and can make different genres of music as they will hear in my upcoming EP,” Dobre said. “I also add an angelic/futuristic theme to my music.”
“Goin’ Up” is an energetic effort that displays Dobre’s innovative delivery as a songwriter and allows fans to get a sense of his musical direction. As far as what’s on the way next for the artist, fans can be on the lookout for the upcoming EP ‘Next Level,’ which will be released at a later date.
“The message I hope the audience takes away is to live your dream,” Dobre said in an interview. “Live life to the fullest, live with no regrets, and work hard and you’ll get what you want. Don’t be scared to take your life to the next level.”
