With 17 years in the industry, Bigg Jigg is a UMG artist, radio host with The Dinner Club, an iHeart radio show (1100 AM, Atlanta, GA), and is also a former BET 106 & Park Freestyle Friday champion. He was the reigning champ for 4 consecutive weeks, and that was just the push he needed to launch his music career. According to Bigg Jigg, “Life has a way of placing you in the right place at the right time,” and he has managed to turn his dreams into reality, but music was not always part of his life plan.
Before officially beginning his music career back in 1999, Bigg Jigg recalls “I had some homies that were rappers and they wanted me to do a record with them, for fun, just to see how it would sound. I did it, but I didn’t take it too seriously at the time.”
Over the past 12 years, Bigg Jigg has continued to tour and host artist showcases in a number of cities during A3C and SXSW. As an artist, Bigg Jigg recently dropped his latest single, “See Aboutcha.” It is a follow up to a number of other singles the Atlanta rapper has dropped this year.
With singles featuring Baby Bash, T-Pain, Tyrese, Akon, Nelly Furtado, Yung Joc, and Gucci Mane, Bigg Jigg continues to keep a pertinent sound.
“I make music that anyone and everyone can relate to,” Jigg says. “I’ve got something for the streets, the kids, the young cats, and even something for the older ‘boom bap’ crowd.”
