HUSTLE + MUSCLE = SUCCESS Rapper Bayside Rod Gives Hope To Incarcerated Rappers

State property himself, rapper Bayside Rod wants others in his position to keep striving for their dreams regardless of their circumstance. The Bayside C.E.O is currently serving a sentence for felonious assault stemming from a shooting case in May of 2020 but continues dropping new music and growing his brand from behind bars.

Even after his arrest Rod has been putting quite a roster together, with features from former G-Unit member and Young Money collaborator Kidd Kidd, Pretty Girl Shay, and Chicago hard hitter Billionaire Black, just to name a few. His latest release titled “Bag Daddy”, recorded entirely over the prison phone, dropped on March 1st and is blowing up quickly.

“It takes a lot of hard work, money, and manpower…..” says Bayside Rod but he also says that the hard work pays off and you can see the proof all across the web. Aside from his social presence and stats across platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify, Bayside Rods name is heavy in the press. A simple google search will provide you with hours upon hours of listening and reading, a lot of which has come post-arrest.

Owner of the Bayside label itself, clothing line and real estate investment companies, the entrepreneur says he hopes to be an example to others facing the same obstacles and show them that if you work hard enough you can reach your goals no matter where you’re starting from. He acknowledges that he’s not the first to put music out over a jail phone but he wants to send the message that even without the star power of other rappers who came before him, independent artists can do it too. Rod owns brother Big Blocc 4Eva is coming home to hold it down for Bayside Ent. A co-founder himself Big Blocc has spent the last decade behind bars, but has refused to let that time take his focus off of success. The brothers have been working nonstop to reach their goals and show others they can do the same if they put the work in. His release came not even a week ago so new music is expected and highly anticipated from him and Rod in the very near future.

Just another way Bayside gives back to the culture, “Bag Daddy” is out now and is coming to prison catalogues very soon. Rod also says that “Everything is from the ground up and everything’s independent. Lock in and I’ll show y’all how to do the same thing.”

Rod’s music is available on all major platforms and you can find him on Instagram @BaysideRodOfficial. Make sure you catch that wave!
