Stephen Curry is Unrivaled: Becomes Investor Backing the Future of Women’s Pro Hoops

Stephen Curry has officially joined Unrivaled as an investor, becoming the latest sports and cultural icon to support the women’s basketball league disrupting the status quo. The four-time NBA champion, two-time MVP, and Olympic gold medalist adds his name to a growing list of backers who believe in Unrivaled’s mission to reimagine women’s professional sports.

“I am incredibly proud to be joining the Unrivaled family as the league continues to set a new standard for how women’s professional sports should operate—empowering athletes and ensuring they have a real stake in their own success,” Curry said.

His investment was part of Unrivaled’s oversubscribed Series A round announced in December, which raised over $28 million. Combined with the $7 million seed round from May 2024, the league has now secured $35 million in total funding.

Curry joins a powerhouse group of investors, including Alex Morgan, Carmelo Anthony, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Coco Gauff, Michael Phelps, Ashton Kutcher, and Mila Kunis, among others. With Curry’s backing, Unrivaled continues to gain momentum as a game-changing force in women’s sports.
