BET Media Group is set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic music video countdown show “106 & Park” with a special tribute at the “BET Awards” 2025. The highly anticipated reunion will air live on Monday, June 9, at 8 pm ET/PT on BET.
Beloved former hosts AJ Calloway, Free, Julissa Bermudez, Keshia Chanté, Rocsi Diaz, and Terrence J will grace the stage together, bringing back nostalgic memories of the show that significantly impacted a generation’s relationship with hip-hop and R&B music and culture. The tribute will feature electrifying performances from past host Bow Wow, also known as Mr. 106 & Park, alongside Amerie, B2K, Jim Jones, Mya, T.I., and other artists who defined the show’s vibrant energy and memorable moments.
“106 & Park was more than just a music countdown show; it was the heartbeat of Black youth culture and one of the highest-rated BET programs for over a decade,” stated Scott Mills, President and CEO at BET. “From Freestyle Friday to unforgettable live performances, it launched careers, influenced fashion, and became a platform where voices, style, and sound converged. 106 & Park both celebrated and fueled many of the most important musical and culture evolutions that occurred during its two-and-a-half-decade tenure.”

The celebration will kick off during the BET Experience (BETX) Fan Fest on Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The “106 & Park” stage will host a reimagined Freestyle Friday Battle on Saturday, showcasing emerging talent with surprise guest appearances. On Sunday, iconic hosts will reminisce about their favorite “106 & Park” moments and engage with fans on a recreated set, complete with photo opportunities and musical performances.
Terrence J will also honor the show from the “BET Awards” red carpet during the “Red Carpet Live” pre-show at 6 pm ET/PT on Monday, June 9, featuring a classic freestyle battle, a world premiere music video, and throwback performances. Bow Wow will host BET Social LIVE from the red carpet.
The grand finale will be during the live “BET Awards” broadcast, promising powerful performances from artists who graced the “106 & Park” stage and the return of its cherished hosts, all contributing to a night honoring 25 years of Black cultural excellence. The “BET Awards” will air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Registration for the free BETX Fan Fest will open soon.
