Brandy and Rita Ora Return for 'Descendants: Wicked Wonderland'

Disney Branded Television has announced the return of beloved stars Brandy and Rita Ora as Cinderella and the Queen of Hearts, respectively, for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, the fifth installment in the popular Disney Channel Original Movie franchise. Also reprising their roles are Paolo Montalban as King Charming and Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother, making her the only actor to appear in all five films.

With these iconic actors confirmed, casting for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland is now complete. The ensemble cast includes Kylie Cantrall as Red, the Queen of Hearts’ daughter; Malia Baker as Chloe, Cinderella’s daughter; Liamani Segura as Red’s sister Pink; Brendon Tremblay as Max, Maddox Hatter’s son; Alexandro Byrd as Luis, Luisa Madrigal’s son; Kiara Romero as Hazel Hook, Captain Hook’s daughter; Joel Oulette as Robbie, Robin Hood’s son; Zavien Garret as Felix, Dr. Facilier’s son; Ryan McEwen and Dayton Paradis as the Smee Twins; and Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland picks up after the time-traveling events of Descendants: The Rise of Red, exploring the consequences of altering time for Red and Chloe in present-day Wonderland. Kimmy Gatewood directs the film, slated for a 2026 release on Disney Channel and Disney+. Tamara Chestna, Dan Frey, and Ru Sommer penned the script, with Suzanne Todd and Gary Marsh returning as executive producers. Emilio Dosal will choreograph the new music and dance sequences.

The Descendants franchise, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has been a significant success for Disney, with multiple hit films, the animated spinoff series Descendants: Wicked World, the animated special Descendants: The Royal Wedding, and gold-certified soundtracks. Descendants: Wicked Wonderland continues this legacy, promising another exciting chapter in the fan-favorite saga.
