YG CAN RAP
This may appear to be an unnecessary thought, or even a redundant one, but there are rappers, and there are rappers. YG is the latter. Most still know him primarily for “Toot It & Boot It”–though “My N****” may change that a bit–and other ratchet anthems, including his collaboration with Tyga, “B*tches Ain’t Sh*t”. On My Krazy Life, the Compton native cracks his knuckles and shows off his skills a bit, floating over most of the production with ease, most notably “BPT” and “Meet The Flockers”. Even when he tries his hand at the seldom-attempted R&B-influenced jams, its clear YG‘s taken his time crafting his flows and cadences in order to provide lyrical variety on his album, which will be appreciated by most.
